Interim Associate Director
she/her/hers
I am committed to creating inclusive learning environments for all students to succeed. As Interim Associate Director, I support the Computing Catalyst team to create an inclusive and sustained computing pipeline throughout UMD’s community, both in local K-12 schools and on campus. I also lead the team’s research efforts to expand our impact beyond UMD and consult K-12 and undergraduate student voices to design research projects that align with the current needs of the computing education community. In addition to serving as Interim Associate Director, I am a faculty member in the First-Year Innovation & Research Experience (FIRE) program and lead the Computing & Society stream. I work with undergraduate students, mainly computing majors, to produce social science research studies that interrogate the intersection of computing, technological innovation, and society.
